Despite being midway through finals week at school, we’re still going strong here at the Wire Clippers. Build team continued construction on the new robot’s chassis, having added on the omni wheels. We’re also beginning to build the frame, constructing and planned the motor systems for the climbing mechanism, and tracking down random parts we may-or-may-not have misplaced last year.
Meanwhile, the programming team worked on organizing to program specific parts of the robot, with each member being given their own task to work on. These tasks include lights and sensors, which allow the robot to connect with the drive train, the 90 degree and continuous spinning servos, which are the primary means by which the robot moves, and the drive station, which the drive team will use to actually direct the robot. Lastly, we finally implemented the GitHub, and spent a significant portion of the meeting learning how to use it.
Lastly, the business team continued to make revisions to the chairman’s essay submission, and contacted sponsors.
