The build team fixed the hopper design; we put in a barrier, so the balls no longer get clogged, and consistently go into the launcher one at a time. With the hopper almost complete, we’re also working on finishing the lift mechanism. The pneumatic pistons are finished and secured to the robot, and the mounting for the lifting bar is complete. The lifting bar itself is still under construction, but it’s progressing closer to on schedule than it’s been since the start of the season.
Meanwhile, the programming team worked out how to connect ultrasonic sensors, which will give the robot an idea of its surroundings, allowing it to avoid obstacles much more effectively, and kept programming the autonomous routine. Lastly, the business team began revisions to the first draft of the Chairman’s video, continued designing the sponsor T-shirts (the other ones are complete, and we’re working on ordering them as I write this), and communicated with sponsors. We also worked on logistics for the competitions; they’re three days long, and we’ve got to sleep somewhere, not to mention driving everyone over.
