We had another day of steady work today at the maker space. The build team has continued to work overtime to get back on schedule for competition, building the walls on the ball launcher system, and finishing the mounting for the pneumatic pistons. Once we finish with these systems, we’ll finish the lifting arm, (which is going to work in tandem with the pistons to get the robot off the ground), and, if there’s still time afterwards, we’ll move on to figuring out the color wheel challenge.

Meanwhile, the programming team spent the day aligning the robot’s camera and working on making the robot function autonomously. Both of these will be vital for the first portion of the challenge, during which we won’t be allowed to pilot the robot.

Lastly, the business team contacted Blue Dolphin about the T-Shirts, continued editing on the Chairman’s video, and wrote, finalized, and submitted the essay for the Woodie Flowers award. This award, although significantly less time consuming than Chairman’s, still gives us an important opportunity to honor our mentors for their dedication to the team.
