Today, we advanced several of the projects we began last weekend. The build team finished constructing the table and sanded it, and organized the shelves. The electrical team constructed the bottom of the robot, attached the electronics board to a wheel setup, worked on wiring it up, and then bolted the whole thing together. This isn’t the setup we’ll be using for competitions, but it allows us to begin practicing before the official build season starts.
Meanwhile, the programming team moved on to downloading software for the code, and is currently fixing some issues they’re having with the computers. Once we finish both the download process and the basic robot shell, we can move on to actually beginning programming the pre-build season robot, giving much needed practice to our build, electronics, and coding team.
Lastly, the business team finished the blurb for the site’s homepage, got the blog started up again, and continued to contact team alumni, for interviewing, as well as sponsors, for funding. In the future we hope to create a new blog entry for close to every meeting.
