Build Team – New Motors, VR Headset Mount, and Test Bed Robot
The Build Team has been engaged in the assembly of new swerve motors, the design of a mount for the VR headset to utilize its sensor capabilities, and the development of a testbed robot that can accommodate various systems. Each of these initiatives contributes significantly to our team’s overall success. The assembly of the new swerve motors enhances our understanding of effectively implementing the advantages of swerve drive technology. By utilizing the sensors from the VR headset, we aim to increase the robot’s autonomy during autonomous operations, thereby improving our competitiveness in various contests. The objective of developing the testbed robot is to enhance our operational efficiency throughout the season. By integrating systems we have already constructed, our team can concentrate on advancing new projects for the forthcoming season rather than repeating existing tasks.
Programming Team – Teaching New Members Java
The Programming Team has been focused on teaching new members Java by helping them solve coding problems, communicate coding terminology effectively, and adapt to the constantly changing components of our robot. Bug fixing is a crucial aspect of code development on our team; it’s essential that the code we create functions properly within the robot. By teaching our new members how to instruct others, we can streamline the onboarding process for future members, as they will already be familiar with the material and understand what learners need to know.
Business Team – Making Our Season Budget
The Business Team has been diligently working on the budget for the Wire Clippers for this season. Organizing a season can be quite expensive, as it involves several costs beyond just the entrance fees. These expenses include purchasing materials for our projects, acquiring new tools to enhance our efficiency, ensuring safety equipment is up to date, arranging transportation for team members and gear, and covering compensation costs for our staff and volunteers. Due to the extensive planning and analysis required to create a comprehensive budget, this effort has taken up a considerable amount of our smaller business team’s time. We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these challenges and continue to strive for success.
