Today we’re going to spotlight the programming team, and we are proud to say, after a week and a half of hard work, we were finally able to get Frank, our test robot, moving! This will provide our team with a means of working on programming for challenges before the build team is finished, ensuring everyone always has something to work on, and maximizing efficiency.

In addition to this, we continued to develop and improve Frank’s test drive program, and had another meeting in which we decided, definitively, that we would use omni wheels. Having weighed the cost, as well as the risks associated with whether or not the programming team will even have time to get them running in time for competition, in addition to all the other tasks they have to work on, we decided that, at least this year, it simply wouldn’t be worth it.
