Hello again, everyone! We’re back at work again today and have started off with some pneumatics testing by the build team. Our pneumatics expert graduated last year, and while we still know a good amount on the subject, it’s still important to make sure everyone on the build team knows their way around them. On top of that, we made progress on the second set of bumpers, which is now nearly complete. Having a solid understanding of pneumatics will give us valuable options next year, and having bumpers we can rely on will save us time for years to come.
As for the programming team, they spent the day working on syncing the controller with the CPU. Since we weren’t able to find readily available code for our radio setup, we had to trailblaze our way to a solution. That said, we actually succeeded in the task, and now have our very own control program. Assuming nothing goes wrong with that (and, I’ll admit, that’s not an entirely safe thing to assume), we’re now another step closer to having a fully working robot.
That’s everything from this meeting; it’s not every week I manage to squeeze in two updates, and as a result there’s been just a little less to work with. That said, when possible I’d still like to post more often rather than lest. One way or another, we’ll make sure to get you at least one update per week. Thanks as always for reading, and see you next time!
