Welcome back, loyal followers, to another Wire Clippers blog post! Today is November 7th, 2022. We would like to thank Chris Dahlen for allowing us to meet here today. We hope these posts will be more frequent as the preseason continues, but we don’t know what the future holds. We had a lot of fun today and were very productive.
Today in business, we worked on the Safety Animation which is due in December. We recorded a voice-over for the animation, and have been hard at work to get the animation itself done so we can put the whole thing together in time for the team to watch it before it is submitted. So far, we are really proud of our progress on it! Aside from the animation work, the business team cracked down on some of the team finances and reviewed some more of the executive summaries; we hope to finish up the summaries before the build season so we can focus our full efforts on sponsor duties and the longer, essay-based awards. We might even be able to start those in the preseason, which would be a huge boost to our productivity!
The Programming Team continues to work on their programming skills and improve them as much as possible so that we will be ready for the competition. Programming Captain Adam Hoskin <3 continued to teach the new freshmen the code so they can be prepared to take over the programming department.
Today in build, we had a productive day building some more chariots. The Build Team was very efficient in their efforts to create the base of their chariots. All five chariots will have a different design plan, in order for them to represent each of the different Greek cities. The team has split into many groups so they can work together with the many new members to create each one. The build team also got to use many different tools to create these chariots, which allowed the newer members to learn new skills which will be useful for the build season.
Well, that about sums it up for now. As said previously, we hope to continue updating you with more news as the preseason nears its conclusion. Goodbye, and stay safe!
