Welcome back everyone! This will be our last blog post before the competition, which is in exactly one week. We will be spending the majority of next week testing, practicing, and making any last minute adjustments to our plans. AS such, today’s report will be a little shorter than normal, which we apologize for. We can’t wait to compete, and will update you as soon as we get back!
The Build Team: While the majority of the robot is complete now, there are still some final adjustments to be made. Today, the Build Team hopes to fine tune the tension of the arm’s upper motor, introduce a limit switch to the robot’s main mechanism, and finalize our bumpers, which needed an adjustment from last year’s bot. We hope to finish these tasks today, which should free up our Build Team to either practice driving or stand by in the event repairs are needed before the competition.
The Programming Team: The Programming Team is now at the forefront of the team, as it is up to them to finish the code for both the teleoperated and autonomous periods. In addition, the Programming Team will be the main group who is training drivers. Today, they hope to finish the teleop code, which would free up the next few days for drive training and auto coding.
The Business Team: Today, the Business Team finishes its last pre-competition task — the FIRST Impact video. Editing and filming has been taking place over the course of the past few weeks, and today, Business hopes to finalize it and prepare it for competition. They also will be making plans for gathering enough funds for the team to continue on next year.
Once again, apologies for the short post. We’re very excited to compete this year, and are interested in seeing the final result of starting our preseason so early. Goodbye, and stay safe!
