Welcome back to the update desk! It’s time for update 6. (Two posts in one week. Huh.)
The Game’s Started!
We’re busy at work brainstorming how we’re going to tackle this season’s challenges. Take a look at what we’re up against.
If this is all a little too complicated for you, I’ve taken the effort to attempt to decompile what the game’s about. It involves us throwing a frisbee at a stage. This might be a challenge.
There’s also the game manual if you’re interested in the specifics.
A Small Recap
There’s probably a few people here from SS Clippers – so I’ll try and summarize this as best as we can.
We’re the robotics team of Portsmouth High School. We participate in the First Robotics Competition, which pits robots against each other but also encourages collaboration. And we’re a friendly group that helps people figure out which team they want to be a part of: build, programming, design, or business (which runs stuff like this website, along with the social media accounts).
If you’d like to pop in and see if we’re a good fit, we’re in the CTE wing near the welding classroom.
Updates to our Meeting Schedule
From here on out, we’re hosting meetings daily after school between 3:20 and 5:30pm. Attendance is optional, but highly encouraged as we get our stage materials set before we figure out how to make these robots work.
Closing Notes
This is a much shorter update than usual – after all, this was a short meeting! However, we’re still hard at work figuring out how to make our robots work with us.
More to come on Thursday. See you soon!
